About the Event
River Runs Through It is The Worthy Ranch’s Gilded Age holiday party and fundraiser, hosted at the historic Moss Mansion in Billings, Montana. Guests will enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine and beer, and a private guided holiday tour, including our custom installation in the Daughters’ Room.

This year’s featured display tells the imagined story of a bold, independent woman of the late 1800s who finds healing through her deep connection with her horse. Her riding outfit, side saddle, and crop are on display, symbols of strength and personal power. While the story is fictional, the horse is real.

Meet River
River, a highly trained horse donated by Emily Petroff, is the first therapy horse of The Worthy Ranch. Approved by our trauma-informed equine therapist and specialist, River will help launch our Equine Therapy Program in 2026, part of our holistic Empower model offering life coaching, equine-assisted healing, and career development for survivors of trafficking and abuse.

Your ticket supports River’s care and training, and helps us create culturally grounded, trauma-informed experiences for women to heal.
